What I appreciate most is the partnership they provide. It doesn’t feel like you’re just another agent—it feels like you have a team that actually supports your success. They are professional, dependable, and consistent, which allows me to stay focused on helping clients instead of worrying about backend issues or administrative delays. Overall, this has been a very positive and dependable partnership. The combination of efficient contracting, excellent communication, and strong support makes this agency stand out. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and professional upline.

A Women-Led FMO that Sets the Standard ✨
Pros
Integrity Partner * Women-led team that truly stands out in a male-dominated industry. * You are treated like a person, not just a production number * Extremely responsive and supportive — someone is always there when you need help * Leadership that genuinely mentors and invests in your growth * Long-standing, consistent team you can rely on * Family-style culture that makes it feel like home * Consistently goes above and beyond without hesitation * Operates with integrity in every interaction.
Cons
No real cons — and if I miss someone, it’s usually just because I caught them at lunch (and they always get back to me quickly)
Advice for this organization
* Be clear on what kind of support you’re looking for — Emrick Group excels in hands-on, relationship-driven partnerships * Take advantage of their knowledge and mentorship — don’t be afraid to ask questions early and often * Understand your product mix and goals so they can help guide you effectively * Clarify contracting, carrier options, and expectations upfront so you can hit the ground running * Lean into the relationship — the more engaged you are, the more value you’ll get
Full review
Our experience working with Emrick Group has been nothing short of exceptional. From day one, it’s felt like a true partnership — not a transactional relationship. Their leadership sets the tone, and the entire team consistently shows up with a high level of responsiveness, knowledge, and genuine care for the agents they support. In an industry where that isn’t always the norm, their women-led structure really stands out and brings a level of integrity and heart that you can feel in every interaction. There really aren’t any downsides to speak of — the only “miss” has ever been my own timing catching someone at lunch, and even then, follow-up is always prompt. For any new agent considering contracting, I would suggest coming in with a clear understanding of your goals and being open to guidance. Take advantage of the mentorship available, ask questions early, and make sure you understand your carrier options and expectations upfront. If you stay engaged and lean into the relationship, you’ll get a tremendous amount of value out of the partnership.

ACMG has been consistent, reliable, and easy to work with.
Pros
No runaround, no delays, just solid support! ACMG keeps things simple and efficient, which makes a huge difference when you’re trying to get business submitted and approved quickly. Definitely a reliable partner for any agency.
Cons
Keep enhancing the systems and tools available to agents. Everything already runs smoothly, so any added improvements will just make it even more efficient.
Advice for this organization
Honestly, just keep doing what you’re doing. The structure, support, and overall experience have been great to me!

Great place to learn the business!
Pros
Excellent training and support!
Cons
Couldn't offer top dollar contracts for Medicare Advantage carriers.
Advice for this organization
Overall, they wanted to be a great place for agents to learn the business and sell insurance. They are!!!
Full review
I have been an independent insurance agent for 6 years. I was recruited by David Duford, back in 2020, when he recruited for Medicare agents. Since then, he has stopped actively recruiting Medicare agents, and he only recruits FEX agents. I was working at Farm Bureau insurance in 2020, and I was making $60K/year, and I loved my team that I worked with. However, I worked at a cubicle in their corporate office, and I knew that I would always be in a cubicle there if I didn't start my own business. David was making YouTube videos about how some agents were making over $100K/year selling Medicare related insurance products. He also had a replicable system for how a new agent could start and get to 100K. It was hard to leave my current job for a hope and a dream, but I did. Within 2 years, I was already over 100K in revenue from selling Medicare insurance products. I mostly sold $0 Medicare Advantage plans to low income people. David met with me individually every few months, and he gave me great motivation. I never could have succeeded as an entrepreneur without him and his partner Matt Mungia. There is a lot of hidden money in the Medicare Advantage world. David Duford's FMO was not top of hierarchy with most of the MA carriers. This meant that they couldn't offer the best MA contracts in terms of admin fees and marketing money. I ended up leaving for another FMO that offered more compensation. The new FMO didn't offer as much training as I got from David, but by then I already had learned the business, and I didn't need training.

Amazing experience across the board and wonderful support with training
Pros
Amazing support with getting through contracting, very responsive commissions department, and I had great trainings for learning new lines of business.
Cons
So far I have not had any issues beyond typical issues with carriers that is an industry wide problem.
Advice for this organization
Reasurring agents that it is okay to be stressed out or feel overwhelmed at first goes a long way. For brand-new agents, don't ever feel like any question you have is dumb. No one is born knowing how to sell insurance!

Starting on I only had life insurance experience and knew nothing about ACA or Medicare but Kannonball has helped me to excel all lines of business. Since starting on I have worked with ACA predominantly, even expanding to several other states (including State-Based Exchange states). I would never have imagined 3 years ago that today, I would be licensed in 7 states and working both FFM and SBE states. I am also expanding to work with Medicare clients as well and I could not ask for better support!

Overall great experience. Nothing to complain about. Have been an employee for 3 years and will continue to be a part of the organization and don't plan on changing FMOs.

Everything You Want And Nothing You Dont
Pros
Top contracts with all of the main carriers as well as proprietary products Releases are granted (not common anymore) Specialized support teams for life, annuities, health Genuinely good people (also not common in this business) Supportive compliance team Contracting and client tracking CRM included Insurance toolkits support included
Cons
Still waiting to get the 1,000% contract
Advice for this organization
Always strive for excellence
Full review
In the insurance industry most upline/IMO relationships require an agent to sacrifice on key things for a few good benefits. Examples of this are high compensation on some carriers and great mentorship on life products while sacrificing the ability to get any releases and having lower compensation on other carriers. Why not have it all? At Heartland I have found over 8 years that they meet or exceed expectations in so many important areas while at the same time allowing their partners to have true independence. You get everything you want and nothing you dont.

This is no longer “IFG”
Pros
When Tyler and the guys were still there and owned it? Was awesome. Sky was the limit. New things all the time and very responsive/helpful.
Cons
Humana bought it. It became corporate garbage. It’s been tanking ever since the sale and now is practically obsolete. Barely a hint of the original IFG. Now there’s no Adam or Peter either. They are more concerned with compliance than they are with actually marketing/selling.
Advice for this organization
When you buy something? It’s not a good idea to rip it apart without the instructions to build it back at least to its original state. The blueprints they have? No clue where they got them but whatever they tried to re-build after they tore it apart is not functional in a profitable way. A new Agent should hear - RUN!!!!
Full review
A new Agent should not contract here at all. Period. So the only question a new Agent should ask is - what other IMOs are out there????? **** I would post with my name, but then they might not keep paying my renewals. That’s how much I don’t trust HUMANA. Yes, I was part of the “partnership” but thankfully switched my contracts before Humana bought.

Great for New Agents Trying to Learn the Industry
Pros
Great experience, especially for newer agents. The onboarding process is clear, support is always available, and they take the time to make sure you understand products, and carriers. It’s a solid environment to learn and build confidence while still having room to grow!
Cons
Starting out can be overwhelming, but they made the process a lot easier to understand. They actually take the time to explain things and don’t make you feel like you’re on your own. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone new trying to build their book.
Advice for this organization
Keep focusing on building a strong agent community and culture. The support is there—continuing to create more opportunities for agents to connect and learn from each other would be a great addition.
Full review
Starting out, I was looking for an organization that would actually provide guidance and not just contracts. This has been exactly that. The onboarding process was simple, and I always felt like I had someone to reach out to if I needed help. Over time, that support has stayed consistent, which has made a big difference in building confidence and growing my business. It’s a great environment for both new and experienced agents.

Helped Me Grow Faster Than I Expected
Pros
Partnering with ACMG really changed the pace of my growth. They don’t just hand you contracts and disappear, they actually help you understand what you’re selling and how to position it! I’ve been able to close more business confidently because I know I have solid support behind me!
Cons
No complaints! ACMG has been great to me.
Advice for this organization
Keep continuing the level of support and responsiveness you currently provide. It’s one of the strongest parts of the organization and makes a big difference for agents day to day.
Full review
I’ve had a great experience overall. One of the biggest differences I’ve noticed compared to other organizations is the responsiveness and reliability of the team. When something comes up, I’m able to get answers quickly without delays or confusion. The contracting process was straightforward, and everything has remained efficient since then. The level of professionalism and consistency makes it easier to focus on helping clients instead of dealing with backend issues. It’s been a solid and dependable partnership!!
